If you’re keen to extend your living or working spaces, then garden home offices certainly are a great idea – but why don’t you do something a little more interesting with your new quarters and turn them into a brewery instead? You can always work in the house, after all!
Craft ales are hugely popular at the moment and microbreweries are popping up all over the place so what better time than the present to get in on the act yourself?
You’ll need to invest in a big garden shed made out of thick timber so that you have a nice and sturdy building in which to brew. Don’t forget to include a strong table that you can work on, shelving inside so you can organise everything and a fridge so your beer can stay cool while it ferments. So you may well have to make sure that it’s connected to the grid, which is worth considering at the planning stage.
There are lots of sites out there where you can buy all you need to start brewing your own home beer so getting going actually needn’t be hard once you’ve got your shed in place. Just don’t forget to invest in some bottles or a tankard or two so you can serve your brew to guests.
And on that subject, why don’t you leave space somewhere to create a pub-like space so your friends and family can come over, hang out and enjoy your homemade tipple without having to go to the local boozer for a fun night out?
